Gate News reports that on March 16, French police arrested two minors and a 35-year-old man. The three are suspected of carrying out two armed hijacking incidents targeting cryptocurrency holders on March 10. The first incident occurred in a residential area south of Paris, where the suspect attempted to break into a target residence but failed. About 30 minutes later, the suspect broke into another female cryptocurrency holder’s home, took her family hostage, and stole jewelry. Police then deployed approximately 100 armed officers and two helicopters to pursue the suspects for about six hours, recovering stolen goods from the suspect vehicle. Prosecutors have charged the three individuals with organized crime, armed robbery, kidnapping, and extortion, with two of them already in custody awaiting trial.
