Gate News: On March 15, the Taiwan Prosecutor’s Office indicted a closed cryptocurrency exchange, “BITGIN,” and its responsible persons, Liu Yusen of Biji Technology, CEO Zhang Hansen, COO Zhang Yuting (Zhang Hansen’s sister), and a total of 10 people. Zhang siblings may face 12 years in prison. The prosecution alleges that the company collaborated with a scam group in 2023, using USDT and offline cash transactions with “fake currency traders” to commit fraud and money laundering. The case involves 46 victims, with scam amounts exceeding NT$150 million. The related funds were transferred through crypto wallets and overseas exchanges to conceal their origin. Additionally, Zhang Yuting is also charged in a money laundering case involving the gold tycoon and Rui Sen Silver Building owner Tu Chengwen’s Yang Sheng Group, amounting to NT$274.6 billion.
