These points can be redeemed for cash tokens, experience vouchers, and contract trial funds, transforming trading from a simple operation into a process of ongoing earnings accumulation.
Core Principles of the Points System
Futures Points are a long-term reward mechanism designed by Gate specifically for futures market participants. The system automatically calculates points based on trading activity and account behavior, ensuring that all distribution rules, redemption standards, and point values are fully transparent, so users can easily monitor their rewards.
Three Simple Ways to Earn Points
1. Trading Volume Rewards
The more you trade each day, the more points you earn:
- Earn 1 point for every 400 USDT in trading volume
- Both opening and closing trades count toward your total trading volume
- No daily cap on point accumulation—active traders can keep earning more rewards
2. Balance Snapshot Points
The system automatically takes a daily snapshot of your account balance (including spot assets in unified accounts) and awards fixed points based on your asset amount:
- $100 ≤ Balance < $1,000: 1 point/day
- $1,000 ≤ Balance < $10,000: 2 points/day
- $10,000 ≤ Balance < $100,000: 3 points/day
- ≥ $100,000: 4 points/day
(Note: Funds in financial accounts are excluded from the snapshot calculation.)
3. Invite Friends Rewards
Earn points by inviting friends to join futures trading:
- Invite 1 friend: 1 point
- Invite 2 friends: 2 points
- Invite 3 or more friends: 3 points
Only invitations where the invitee successfully accumulates at least 2 points are considered valid.

Points Redemption and Usage Guidelines
You can instantly redeem accumulated points on Gate’s points page for a variety of rewards, including cash tokens, position experience vouchers, and contract trial funds. All points are available for immediate use upon distribution, deducted instantly after use, and subject to the official announcement as the final authority.
Points Validity and Distribution Schedule
To maintain the vitality of rewards and user engagement, Gate has set the following rules:
- Validity: Points are valid for 15 days from the date of distribution and will expire automatically if unused.
- Distribution: Daily points are issued the following day.
- Deduction Order: The system will use points batches that are closest to expiration first.
Example: If you receive 10 points on October 14, you must use them by October 29 or they will automatically expire.
Important Notes
- You start accumulating points once your daily trading volume reaches 400 USDT or your position exceeds 100 USDT.
- Copy trading and bot trading volumes are excluded from the calculation.
- Futures Points and Alpha Points are separate reward systems and do not affect each other.
- Market makers, enterprise accounts, and institutional users are not eligible for this program.
- Only platform-recognized valid trading volume is counted; self-trading, wash trading, or abnormal transactions are excluded.
- Points are platform utility tools only; they are non-transferable, non-tradable, and do not represent cash or token assets.
- Gate reserves the right to interpret and modify the points rules, usage scenarios, and validity period. Any changes will be announced officially.
