What’s one thing you’ve done that actually helped control it?

Sold my dream car recently. Why?
The world has so much uncertainty right now, the cost of living is going through the roof, I work from home, my wife has a car, heading deeper into 2026 and 2027 imo cash is king.
That money is sitting in an offset account at 6.04% interest. When / if rates come down then I’ll deploy that cash into opportunities arising later this year: stocks, ETFs, gold, Bitcoin and fix my mortgage rate for a longer period of time.

My Bitcoin plan. Wait for stochastic momentum on a Monthly timeframe to break below 20th percentile (we are nearly there).
Once this occurs set up a daily dca bot, keep my limit orders down to $42k.
Once I see a price structure shift from bearish back to bullish on a weekly timeframe OR a clear macro re-accumulation range (we could be forming one right now), then I’ll start to add altcoins that fit strong emerging narratives and show strength against their bitcoin pair.
It’s more important to understand and study time in a bear market rather than price.
