Gate News update: On April 9, Visa on Wednesday officially announced the launch of “Intelligent Commerce Connect”—positioned as a universal gateway for AI agent builders and merchants to enter AI-driven commerce. Through Visa’s single integration with the platform, it supports secure payment initiation, tokenization, spending controls, and identity verification. It is compatible with payments from both Visa and non-Visa cards, and it works with leading AI agent protocol standards. The platform is currently in the pilot stage and is planned for a full rollout later in 2026.
