UBS expects gold to hit new highs within the year, with an average annual price of $5,000 per ounce in 2026

Gate News message, April 2, UBS Group (UBS) strategist Joni Tewis released a gold market outlook report, expecting that even though the gold price has been volatile recently, this year’s gold price will still set a new high and will view the recent pullback as a buying opportunity. UBS expects the 2026 average gold price to be $5,000 per ounce, 2027 to be $4,800, and 2028 to be $4,250.
