Gate News Message: On April 8, the Solana ecosystem decentralized exchange Stabble issued an emergency notice urging liquidity providers to immediately withdraw their funds. The reason is that a North Korean–born employee had previously worked on the project. This warning was triggered by information from on-chain sleuth ZachXBT, who disclosed that a North Korean developer had worked for many years at Elemental, a Solana DeFi infrastructure project. U.S. authorities have previously issued warnings saying North Korean technical personnel use fabricated identities to infiltrate crypto companies. Over the weekend, Drift Protocol suffered a $280 million attack; the project said the attack was likely carried out by the same North Korean hackers behind the October 2024 Radiant Capital attack. In response, Stabble said the North Korean employee appears to have been hired about a year ago, that the new team took over the project four weeks ago, and emphasized that no attack has occurred yet—warning is only a precautionary measure. Stabble said it will conduct a new audit to ensure LP safety.
