Gate News message, April 21 — Justin Sun, global advisor to a leading exchange, appeared online at the Genesis Hackathon opening ceremony to share his latest insights on AI Agent applications in Web3 and the industry’s future direction. He emphasized that AI Agents will replace traditional interaction methods and become the core driving force for the next phase of Web3 ecosystem development.
Sun explained that past Web3 applications often came with steep learning curves and complex on-chain interactions. The introduction of AI Agents will push decentralized applications (DApps) to evolve from “manual operations” to “intent-driven” interactions based on natural language. This means AI Agents can autonomously understand user needs, automatically plan execution paths, and complete complex on-chain settlements including cross-chain transfers and trades. This shift toward intelligent and autonomous operations will not only significantly unlock on-chain productivity but also serve as a breakthrough point to overcome Web3’s user growth bottleneck and drive the industry toward true mass adoption.
The Genesis Hackathon, organized by the exchange’s DAO and B.AI, attracted numerous developer communities, investment institutions, projects, trading platforms, and blockchain ecosystems.
