Haidilao Cupertino Location Robot Knocked Over Tableware While Dancing with Swinging Arms, 3 Employees Needed to Stop It

Gate News: On March 20th, at a Haidilao hotpot restaurant in Cupertino, California, a dancing humanoid robot suddenly waved its arms, knocking over tableware and chopsticks. At least three staff members stepped in to stop it. The on-site video was posted by user Meooow on Xiaohongshu and later circulated by ABC News. The robot is believed to be the Lingxi X2 from Zhiyuan Robotics. Haidilao told NBC News that the incident was caused by the robot moving closer to the table at a customer’s request, stating, “This is not its usual operating scenario, and limited space affected its movement during the performance,” denying that the robot “malfunctioned or lost control.”
