GoPlus: The Claude Chrome extension version 1.0.41 and below has a critical vulnerability and needs to be upgraded immediately.

Gate News reports that on March 27, the GoPlus security agency cited a Koi report indicating that the Claude Chrome plugin developed by Anthropic has a critical vulnerability related to prompt injection, affecting all versions below 1.0.41. GoPlus warns that attackers can exploit malicious web pages to hijack users’ Claude plugins, taking over browser sessions without user awareness by issuing malicious prompts, thereby facilitating data theft. GoPlus urges users to immediately update the Claude extension to version 1.0.41 or higher and to be vigilant against phishing links.
