Guo Zebang, head of the Information Technology Industry Bureau of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Zone, said that the Beijing Space Computing Innovation Center, which is being initiated and established, aims to gather strength from industry, academia, and research to validate end-to-end satellite manufacturing and break through key technical areas such as radiation-hardened chips and onboard thermal management. Guo Zebang noted that sending computing power to space is a long-term mission for ambitious goals, and that he believes that in the future, as multiple parties from industry, academia, and research work together, a computing network with coordinated efforts between the ground and space will be built at an accelerated pace.
