Anthropic and CoreWeave reach a multi-year data center leasing agreement to deploy Claude AI models

Gate News message, April 10, Anthropic agreed to lease CoreWeave’s data center capacity to meet the growing demand for its AI services. CoreWeave said in a statement Friday that this multi-year agreement will help Anthropic build and deploy its Claude AI models. CoreWeave CEO Intratoto said the agreement will include multiple NVIDIA chip architectures within U.S. data centers. The two companies declined to disclose the financial terms of the deal. Like some other AI companies, Anthropic has been at the forefront of the AI services boom and, at times, faced what it described as “unprecedented demand,” making it difficult to keep its products operating online. Earlier this week, Anthropic announced partnerships with Broadcom and Google to secure 3.5 gigawatts of energy (one gigawatt of power is enough to supply the electricity needs of about 750k U.S. households at the same time).
