Gate News reports that on March 21, a certain CEX’s asset management division launched a tokenized share of a Bitcoin yield fund, deployed on its Ethereum Layer 2 network. The partner is Apex Group, which manages assets worth $3.5 trillion. The product is open to non-U.S. investors and uses the ERC-3643 standard, embedding compliance verification into the token to enable automated access and transfer controls. This move reflects how institutions including BlackRock, Fidelity, and Franklin Templeton are accelerating the onboarding of assets like funds and bonds onto the blockchain to improve settlement efficiency, reduce costs, and expand distribution channels.
