Ghana Securities Regulator Designates 11 Companies to Participate in Virtual Asset Trading Pilot

Gate News: On March 11, the Ghana Securities and Exchange Commission designated 11 companies to participate in a virtual asset trading pilot program. The pilot period lasts 12 months, allowing these companies to test their products and services in a controlled environment. Participating companies include: 5 exchanges (Hyro Exchange, Hanypay, HSB Global, Koinkoin, and one other exchange); 3 global asset tokenization companies (Vaulta, XChain, and Bsystem); 1 tokenized gold company (Africoin); 1 tokenized payment system company (Blu Penguin); and 1 custodian (GoldBod, responsible for all gold-backed securities custody). Companies that participate in the pilot for at least 6 months and meet regulatory requirements for their products and services will receive official licenses.
