The CEO of Aptos Labs has been invited to join the U.S. CFTC digital asset market expert group.

According to Gate News bot, it was reported that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced on June 30 that Avery Ching, co-founder and CEO of Aptos Labs, has been appointed as a member of the digital asset market group under the “Global Markets Advisory Committee.”

The group consists of 36 experts from financial giants such as Citadel, BlackRock, and BNY Mellon, aiming to provide policy recommendations related to digital assets to the CFTC. Ching’s participation and his recent remarks in the U.S. Congress highlight the importance of technology developers in regulatory discussions.

Ching has over ten years of experience in building large-scale infrastructure. Before founding Aptos, he served as the technical lead for Meta’s crypto platform, leading the development of several blockchain projects, including Diem.
