華爾街投行巨擘摩根士丹利（Morgan Stanley）正加速加密貨幣業務布局，不僅規劃在今年上半年於旗下電子交易平台 E-Trade 開放比特幣、以太幣及 Solana（SOL）現貨交易，如今更宣布將於下半年推出自家數位錢包。
摩根士丹利財富管理部門主管 Jedd Finn 接受《巴隆週刊（Barron’s）》採訪時表示：「這實際上表明金融服務基礎設施的運作方式即將發生改變。」
隨著時間的推移，隨著基礎設施的發展，我們將能夠更好地融合傳統金融（TradFi）和去中心化金融（DeFi）生態系統。
值得注意的是，消息曝光的同一周，摩根士丹利也已向美國證管會（SEC）遞交 S-1 註冊聲明，申請發行比特幣、以太幣與 Solana 現貨 ETF 。
回顧 2024 年 1 月，當美國正式核准比特幣現貨 ETF 上市交易時，摩根士丹利就曾形容，這是「全球對數位資產認知與使用方式的典範轉移」。
數據也印證了這項判斷。自上市以來，比特幣現貨 ETF 的累積成交額已突破 1.6 兆美元；目前美國 11 檔比特幣 ETF 的資產管理規模（AUM）合計約 1,300 億美元，其中由貝萊德（BlackRock）發行的 IBIT，更成為史上成長速度最快的 ETF 。
隨後在 2024 年下半年，摩根士丹利開放旗下財富管理顧問，得以向部分高資產客戶推薦比特幣現貨 ETF；一年後，該行進一步擴大加密資產的可及性，將相關投資開放給所有客戶帳戶，甚至涵蓋退休金帳戶。
摩根士丹利的激進擴張，反映出華爾街集體的焦慮感。據傳，摩根大通（JPMorgan Chase）也正在評估是否向機構客戶提供加密貨幣現貨與衍生品交易服務，唯恐在這場數位革命中被邊緣化。
