The criminal trial of Roman Storm, co-founder of Tornado Cash, has been postponed until April 2025.
A New York judge has ruled that the criminal trial of Roman Storm, co-founder of Tornado Cash, will be postponed until April 2025 to resolve discrepancies revealed by expert witnesses. The original trial date was set for December this year. Storm's legal team has applied for a writ of mandamus to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to overturn the order regarding expert witnesses, with a hearing scheduled for November 12. Storm faces three charges including aiding Money Laundering, unlicensed money transmission, and violating sanctions. If convicted, he could face up to 45 years in prison.
