Small-cap cryptocurrencies almost always take the mantle for the top crypto gainers each day.
That’s because their low level of liquidity means that relatively small buy pressure can easily result in fast exponential gains.
While blue-chip cryptocurrencies can offer good upside prospects, traders looking to make quick profits usually turn to low cap markets.
Speaking of blue-chip markets, the downtrend in prices has continued on Tuesday.
Traders continue to fret about elevated Grayscale sales, while reports that Mt. Gox victims may soon get repaid their BTC tokens may also be dampening sentiment.
Bitcoin (BTC) hit fresh yearly lows at $38,500 earlier in the day before bouncing to $39,400s.
Ether (ETH), meanwhile, is struggling just above $2,200.
Most major altcoins like Solana (SOL), XRP (XRP) and Cardano (ADA) were down around 4-6% in the past 24 hours.
With major crypto prices struggling, here are some of the top small-cap crypto gainers on Thursday as per DEXTools.
Top Crypto Gainers on DEXTools
XETH ($XETH)
A newly launched shitcoin called XETH ($XETH) has exploded and is one of the top crypto gainers on Thursday.
$XETH is up 2,100% in the past 24 hours, as per DEXTools.
The latest pump has seen it hit a market cap of $1 million and reach liquidity of $220,000.
Despite launching less than 24 hours ago, it already has just under 900 holders.
But Investors should be cautious of the token’s a few concerning aspects to its smart contract.
Honeypot.is reckons the token might be a honeypot scam.
TWEETY ($TWEETY)
A shitcoin called TWEETY ($TWEETY) is has been pumping in the past week.
As per DEXTools, it was last up 160% on the day, making it one of the top crypto gainers today.
$TWEETY’s market cap was last just over $1.8 million, with partially locked liquidity of around $750,000 and around 1,100 holders.
It has no concerning aspects to its smart contract, as per DEXTools’ security audit.
KaboChain ($KABO)
A shitcoin called KaboChan ($KABO) has been pumping on Tuesday.
$KABO was last up around 340% in the past 24 hours, as per DEXTools.
Still, its market cap is pretty tiny at only around $600,000, with $90,000 in liquidity.
As per DEXTools’ security audit, the token only has two four concerning aspects to its smart contract.
Crypto Alternatives to Consider
Low-cap coins can offer huge potential returns but also come with a lot of risk.
For those looking for a better probability of near-term gains, an alternative high-risk, high-reward investment strategy to consider is getting involved in crypto presales.
This is where investors buy the tokens of upstart crypto projects to help fund their development.
These tokens are nearly always sold cheaply, and there is a long history of presales delivering huge exponential gains to early investors.
Many of these projects have fantastic teams behind them and a great vision to deliver a revolutionary crypto application/platform.
If an investor can identify such projects, the risk/reward of their presale investment is very good.
The team at Cryptonews spends a lot of time combing through presale projects to help investors out.
Here is a list of 15 of what the project deems as the best crypto presales of 2023.
