It makes more sense to compare based on contribution + risk; whoever covers the upfront costs and takes the responsibility should get more.

I suggest first establishing the cost accounting standards: gas, wages, marketing, auditing, taxes—whose responsibility are these? Otherwise, it will end up being a lot of finger-pointing.
