On April 19th, based on vessel tracking data, no ship passage records were observed in the Strait of Hormuz on that day. It is reported that at least 13 oil tankers attempted to leave the Persian Gulf between the 18th and 19th, changed course, and turned back, abandoning further passage through the strait.
On the prediction market Polymarket, the probability of the Strait of Hormuz being navigable before the end of this month has increased due to expectations of U.S.-Iran negotiations next week, now reported at 30%.
