Over 10 billion in market cap, over 7 billion in circulation? I really can't understand this meme project, I want to short it so badly!
Just now I glanced at the market chart, and it totally confused me. A meme (Meme) project with a total market value reaching 180 billion! What's even more outrageous is that its circulating market cap is already over 70 billion. I rubbed my eyes and repeatedly confirmed I didn't see the decimal point wrong—what kind of magical realism is this?
Let's rationally analyze this. Over 7 billion in circulating supply, guys, this isn't small change of tens of millions or a few billion—this is real money that could buy many physical companies and serious tech projects. Just because of a few images, a few community slogans, and some vague narratives, funds are blindly pouring in? Many solid projects in the crypto space that focus on infrastructure, technological iteration, and real revenue have market caps that are just a fraction of this. Is this reasonable? This completely defies any normal valuation logic.
All I can think about now is: I want to short it! From any rational perspective, it’s sky-high, with a bubble that’s frighteningly large. After all, it’s already hundreds of billions—can it still rise to trillions? How big is the total market size of the entire crypto market? Why can it absorb such a huge volume?
But when I reach out to press the short button, I hesitate again. The biggest lesson in crypto is “don’t argue with memes.” When you think its valuation is absurd and bound to fall, the fanaticism will push you down and grind you into the ground. Shorting meme coins is essentially betting against the market’s madness, which is extremely dangerous. Once big funds leverage the hype to pump the price, or the community FOMO explodes, a single spike can blow the short out completely, leaving nothing behind.
So, I really don’t understand it, I won’t touch it. Such a meme coin of this size has already become a pawn in big fund gambling; retail investors going in are just cannon fodder. I choose to watch from the sidelines, and I won’t make a move.
What do you think this kind of market will end up like? Will it really soar to over a trillion, or will it collapse suddenly? Drop your thoughts in the comments. $M
