I just read something interesting about what Vitalik Buterin has been thinking about these days. It seems that Ethereum's co-founder is quite focused on making the network much simpler, something like Bitcoin but with more functionalities.
It's curious because for years we've seen Ethereum grow with each update, adding more complexity. But apparently, Vitalik believes it's time to simplify things. According to his recent comments, the idea is for Ethereum to be as accessible and easy to understand as Bitcoin, while maintaining its ability to execute smart contracts and decentralized applications.
What catches my attention is that this could mean quite significant changes in how the network operates. Simplifying Ethereum without losing its usefulness is a delicate balance. If Vitalik achieves this, it could open the doors to much greater adoption, especially among users who find Bitcoin easier to understand.
This is one of those long-term visions that characterize Vitalik. It's not something that will happen tomorrow, but definitely an interesting direction worth following closely. If you're interested in seeing how these major projects evolve, Gate has good tools to monitor the development of Ethereum and its changes.
