Starting to look for love and marriage, but isn't choosing a matching app difficult? Honestly, there are so many apps out there, and I don't really understand what makes them different, so I was unsure which one to use in the end. I tried a few popular matching apps and summarized my general impressions.

First, having a large number of members is definitely important. Pairs reportedly has over 25 million registered users, which makes me feel the chances of meeting someone are high. The profile setup is thorough, and there are useful features like the ability to call before a date and an "Invitation Assist" feature, which I think is good for beginners in dating. tapple has over 23 million users, and it’s interesting that you can send date requests before matching. It might be good for people who are not comfortable with messaging. with uses psychological tests to assess compatibility, so it’s suitable for those who prioritize inner qualities.

Security is also a concern. Both Pairs and tapple require facial recognition and have 24-hour monitoring systems, which provides peace of mind. Most apps are free for women, but for men, the monthly fee ranges from about 3,700 to 6,000 yen. CoCome charges men around 6,000 yen, which is relatively high, so if you’re budget-conscious, you might want to consider other popular apps.

Honestly, starting with Pairs or tapple, which have many members and rich features, is a safe choice. Trying out multiple apps until you find the one that suits you is also a good idea.
