Why might Trump’s shift to social media after military options fail backfire?

According to reports from multiple Iranian media outlets citing military sources on March 23, Iran has prepared new “surprises” for the upcoming days of fighting, which could have “significant effects.” The sources stated that all of U.S. President Trump’s military options have failed, and he is seeking a way out, thus moving the conflict from the actual battlefield to social media.

The sources said Trump is aware that his ammunition is in “poor condition” and cannot achieve military victory or reopen the Strait of Hormuz, so he has resorted to verbal attacks, but this will only make him “more embarrassed.”

He emphasized that, contrary to Trump’s hollow promises, Iran has prepared “surprise actions” for the coming days that will make the outcome of the conflict clearer. “Trump should temporarily put down his phone and social media, and focus on the sky, the stock market, and oil prices.” (CCTV International News)
