Are there Chinese-flagged ships hit in the Strait of Hormuz? Ministry of Foreign Affairs responds
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Kangmin hosted a routine press conference on the 12th.
A reporter asked: Since the outbreak of conflict in the Middle East, multiple ships and oil tankers have been attacked. Are there any Chinese-flagged vessels hit by drones or missiles in the Strait of Hormuz and nearby waters?
Guo Kangmin: The Strait of Hormuz and its surrounding waters are important international trade routes for goods and energy. Maintaining security and stability in this region is in the common interest of the international community. China urges all parties to immediately cease military actions, avoid further escalation of tensions, and prevent regional instability from causing greater impacts on global economic development.
