Deutsche Bank's revenue is projected to reach 32.1 billion euros by 2025, with net profit doubling year-on-year to hit a new record high
Deutsche Bank, a major player in the global financial landscape, recently announced its impressive 2025 financial report. The European financial giant not only achieved its initial revenue target of €32.1 billion but also made significant breakthroughs in several key indicators, reflecting a strong recovery in the post-pandemic era.
Pre-tax profit soars 84%, hitting a record high
The most notable highlight is Deutsche Bank’s profitability. For 2025, pre-tax profit reached €9.7 billion, an increase of 84% compared to the previous year, setting a record high for the bank. Even more impressive, net profit doubled year-over-year to €7.1 billion. These figures indicate that Deutsche Bank has made substantial progress in enhancing its earning capacity, shedding years of weak performance.
Steady revenue growth of €32.1 billion, cost control better than expected
On the revenue side, Deutsche Bank’s total income for 2025 was €32.1 billion, up 7% year-over-year, successfully meeting the group’s initial target of approximately €32 billion. This demonstrates resilience in a complex global financial environment and confirms the ongoing vitality of its core businesses.
Notably, the bank also delivered a satisfactory performance in cost management. Non-interest expenses decreased by 10% year-over-year to €20.7 billion, below the group’s target of €20.6 billion, showcasing stronger expense control capabilities. The combination of steady revenue growth and significant cost reductions directly contributed to a doubling of profits.
Strategic significance behind the performance rebound
Deutsche Bank’s comprehensive financial turnaround in 2025 marks a successful realization of its strategic transformation. By optimizing its business structure, strengthening cost discipline, and improving operational efficiency, Deutsche Bank is reshaping its competitiveness in the global financial market. This performance lays a solid foundation for sustainable future growth.
