Last year, I went to Yunnan with my best friend, and her boyfriend had something urgent come up and didn't come along.

When we arrived in Dali, she said, "Let's stay in the same room to save money."
I said, "Sure."
As we checked in, her boyfriend suddenly sent a message saying he had arrived and was waiting for her at the door.
Her face changed briefly, then she said to me, "Um, he's here. Do you mind staying in a separate room? I'll pay for it."
I said, "It's okay, staying alone is pretty good."
She sighed in relief and said, "Thanks for understanding, you're the best."
I swiped my card to enter my room, put down my luggage, and was about to take a shower.
My phone rang—it was a message from her saying, "Let's rest separately tonight and go out together tomorrow."
I replied, "Okay."
Then I opened an app and messaged a guy who was staying in Dali, saying, "I've arrived."
He replied, "I'm waiting for you in the old town. Do you like grilled fish?"
I changed into a dress and went out.
The next morning, she messaged asking what I did last night, saying she knocked on my door but no one answered.
I said I went to bed early, and my phone was on silent.
She sent a sad face emoji and said, "So boring alone. Next time, let's plan ahead so he doesn't come."
I said, "It's okay, I slept pretty well."
Sharing a joke I saw with you all!
