Daily Focused Q&A Time: About Identity Anxiety and Career Confusion
After reading your experience, I don't think you've failed, In fact, I think you've been through a lot. You're not incapable, You're just constantly searching for "who to become." From selling houses to electrical engineering, Then to surveying, You're not someone who just gives up easily. You're just always proving That you don't want to be "someone looked down upon." But what you need to do now, Is not switch industries again. It's to pause and think about one thing: What kind of person do you want to become? Someone recognized by your father? Or someone who recognizes themselves? If you keep taking "being recognized" as your goal, You will always feel anxious. What you lack most right now isn't direction. It's: A track that can be settled into for 5 years, A stable cash flow, And your psychological "weaning" from your father. You don't need to cut ties, But you need to stop trying to prove yourself. You're 27, Debt-free, with a car, And business experience—this isn't a bad hand. The direction suited for you now isn't speculation. It's: To B sales, Or marketing roles with technical attributes, Or continue to deepen in an engineering-related track. But most importantly: Don't jump around anymore. You're no longer 22. Stability will give you voice. Additionally, 70% of your current anxiety comes from your father. When you're no longer afraid of his judgment, You'll feel much more relaxed. Your security shouldn't come from your father, but from yourself.
