I've been following the "one big and one small" principle for my wishes over the past few years.

I start with a grand wish, like "world peace and everyone living a happy life."
Then I make a small, specific wish that I want to achieve soon.
Before graduation, I wished for a smooth completion of my PhD; last year, I wanted to get the Qingji; recently, I wish to pass the assessment early.
Because I heard a joke when I was a child:
A man accidentally meets God. God says, since we are destined to meet, I can help you with one thing.
The man takes out a globe and says: I wish for world peace!
God pauses for a few seconds and says: That's too difficult. Let's choose something else.
The man feels a bit disappointed, then takes out a photo of his friend Yi and says: I wish my friend could become more beautiful!
God pauses for ten minutes and then says: Just bring the globe back.
