U.S. Trade Representative: Tariffs on some countries will be increased to 15%

On February 25, U.S. Trade Representative Grier said that tariffs on some countries will be increased to 15%. Yesterday, the White House stated that the Trump administration is working to raise the new round of U.S. temporary tariff rates announced by Customs and Border Protection from 10% to 15%. The plan proposed by Trump under Section 122 to implement a 15% tariff rate “remains unchanged,” and it is unclear when the rate will be increased to 15%.
