Over 5,000 transactions were completed via the layer-two protocol within eight hours, with all participating merchants receiving training on the same day. BTC's Chief Financial Officer, Di Lewis, noted that the system can simulate a typical payment experience similar to Apple Pay and highlighted a recent nearly zero-fee $1 million Lightning Network transaction to demonstrate that its capabilities have expanded beyond small-value transactions.
