Bill Gates apologizes!

According to Jiemian News, on February 24, a spokesperson for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation stated in a written statement that American Microsoft co-founder and billionaire Bill Gates took responsibility for his relationship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during a meeting with Foundation staff.

Media reports indicate that Bill Gates apologized to Foundation staff on the 24th for his relationship with the late American sex offender Epstein, acknowledging his mistakes that cast a shadow over the charity, while firmly denying any involvement in Epstein’s criminal activities.

Gates admitted during the meeting that he had extramarital affairs with two Russian women, but these relationships did not involve Epstein’s victims. “Let me be clear, I have never had any contact with the victims, that is, the women around him.”

Gates said that his dealings with Epstein and allowing Foundation executives to meet with the sex offender was “a huge mistake.” “To those who were involved because of my mistake, I apologize,” he said.

Additionally, according to China News Service, a recording obtained by The Wall Street Journal reveals that Gates stated, “I have never committed any illegal acts, nor have I witnessed any illegal behavior.”

Gates said that in the recently released Epstein files, the photos of him with a woman whose face was obscured were taken at Epstein’s request after their meeting, with Gates and Epstein’s assistant posing together.

Reports also state that Gates traveled on Epstein’s private plane and met with him in Germany, France, New York, and Washington. “I never spent the night there,” he said, and he never visited Epstein’s private island.

Previously, Southern Metropolis Daily reported that the files related to Epstein released by the U.S. have sparked ongoing controversy, including emails revealing that Microsoft founder Bill Gates had extramarital affairs and contracted sexually transmitted diseases.

It is known that two emails involving Bill Gates were written by Epstein in 2013, sent from Epstein’s email account to Gates, but it is unclear whether these emails were ever sent to Gates himself.

In one email, Epstein stated that he decided to resign from a position in Gates’ organization because “he was caught up in a serious marital dispute between Melinda and Bill,” and mentioned having to buy drugs for Bill “to deal with the consequences of his sexual relations with Russian girls.” Another email, beginning with “Dear Bill,” further claimed that Gates was trying to cover up his sexually transmitted disease.

According to Reference News citing Australian media on February 4, Bill Gates denied involvement in Epstein’s case. He stated that Epstein wrote him an email, but it was never sent, and the email was fake.

Gates said he only attended a few dinners, never visited Epstein’s island, and never saw any women. He emphasized that the email was never sent and questioned whether Epstein was trying to attack him in some way. Gates also expressed regret for knowing Epstein and for every minute he spent with him.

According to Bee, on February 3, local time, after being accused of hiding a sexually transmitted disease, Gates’ ex-wife responded for the first time, expressing overwhelming sadness. In a public interview, Melinda French Gates said that the latest Epstein-related documents released by the U.S. triggered painful memories of her marriage, but she emphasized that questions about these allegations should be directed to her ex-husband.

It is also noteworthy that during his visit to China, Bill Gates responded to related controversies.

According to Yicai, Gates clarified, “Between 2011 and 2014, I did have dinner with Epstein several times, but there’s really nothing new to add about that. I never contacted any victims, nor did I visit his island.”

He further explained that he simply believed Epstein knew many wealthy people and could help raise funds for global health. “He promised me he could raise a lot of money for global health. But it turned out to be a complete failure; we didn’t raise a single penny.”

He added, “I do think that associating with such a person was a mistake. But I must emphasize, I never had any contact with victims. The recent leaked email was never sent by him. It seems he wrote it to himself, possibly to pressure me in some way. I find it hard to judge his true intentions. But I never received or saw that email. From the beginning, I repeatedly emphasized: I regret and apologize for my dealings with him, but I never contacted any victims.”
