What’s the status of the soybeans, the corn, et cetera that would have been normally met uh bound for some of these other markets. What is it still sitting? Is it has it been moving? Has it actually been selling? What’s been going on?

00:17 Boyd

I need to explain how it affects farmers and and that’s a great question. Uh this uh I’ve been farming for 43 years. This is the first time that the grain elevators were full and stopped accepting uh soy bans in the middle of my harvest uh because of the president’s terrorists. Uh so I couldn’t sell my soy bans, I couldn’t harvest them and uh they started to pop out the pod and I lost half of my crop. And uh just last week alone, I met with two bankers

00:43 Boyd

who said, hey Boyd, we can’t extend uh farm operating loans to you this year. Uh as long as those tariffs are in place. That’s the real hardship and what America’s farmers are hearing. So I’m telling you that from a a personal standpoint. A lot of people don’t understand, corn, wheat and soy beans are still driven by the markets. And when the president imposed those terrorists to the markets, uh, you know, plummeted, the prices plummeted and uh we didn’t have a new outlet or new markets to sell soy bans. So the market became stagnant and and uh wasn’t moving. Well we have to wait and see how our trade partners look at the at the ruling, but I hope they will look at it in a favorable uh way the way that we see it, that the president’s ties were bad and harmful and hurting America’s farmers.

Have you been talking to any of the sort of hearing about any of those end market customers and whether those markets are going to start to to open back up now that there’s been a change to the tariff rates?

01:46 Boyd

Well, there’s a couple things here. One, uh, uh we’re trying to look at legally how farmers could recoup uh the monies that we lost uh uh from the tariffs based on this this court ruling who said what the president doing was illegal. Uh that’s the first thing. So we’re uh open to uh law firms that want to reach out to us to see how we can recoup our losses. We lost a lot of money uh and not just in soy bans, but corn and and wheat and other commodities and and beef. Uh the terrorist ruin our markets. That’s the first thing. And we have to wait and see how again, how our trading partners look at this. And uh the administration is going to have to really buckle down. I don’t even know who the US trade representative is, uh but they need to go out and me some fences with these uh trading partners to see how we can get the markets moving again in the United States. That should be the number one priority. I haven’t heard the president say anything about it, but uh he said some ugly things about those Supreme Court justices and called them fools and all sorts of uh names and uh those justices deserve an apology. two that he appointed to the bench that was properly vetted and and appointed to the bench to serve. Uh he selected those two and he called them all of those names. It doesn’t look good uh leadership standwise around the country uh to have the president uh having outburst like that. Uh it just it doesn’t look good for the United States.
