After the United States imposed approximately 126% anti-subsidy tariffs on solar cells and panels imported from India, Waaree Energies' stock price plummeted by 15%. The U.S. Department of Commerce pointed out that the Indian government’s subsidies are unfair, and it is estimated that the value of solar cells and panels imported from India will reach $792.6 million in 2024, a ninefold increase compared to 2022. The Alliance for American Solar Manufacturing has called for an investigation and accused manufacturers of shifting production to evade previous tariffs.
