Since the holiday, the A-share market has remained active. By the close, it has achieved “100 stocks hitting the daily limit” for two consecutive days. The last time such a pattern occurred was in early January. Among them, 26 stocks experienced consecutive limit-up days after the holiday, accounting for nearly 14% of all limit-up stocks.

Post-holiday limit-up hot stocks scan, with a clear high proportion of cyclical sectors

According to industry sector statistics, the limit-up stocks in the A-share market after the holiday show a significant clustering feature. In terms of the number of limit-up stocks, the basic chemicals sector leads with 32 stocks hitting the limit, accounting for 17% of all limit-up stocks in the market. Non-ferrous metals and Petrochemical sectors follow closely, with the three major cyclical sectors contributing about one-third of the limit-up targets. In terms of the number of limit-up occurrences, the basic chemicals sector also ranks first, with an 18.4% share. The non-ferrous metals, Petrochemical, and electrical equipment sectors also rank high.

If only counting stocks that hit the limit-up on both days after the holiday, the basic chemicals and construction decoration sectors become the main clusters of consecutive limit-up stocks. The basic chemicals sector leads with 7 stocks, accounting for 26.9%, nearly one-third of the consecutive limit-up stocks. The construction decoration sector follows closely, with 5 stocks hitting the limit-up, accounting for 19.2%. Additionally, utilities, environmental protection, and transportation sectors each contributed 2 stocks with consecutive limit-ups. Other industries have only sporadic stocks hitting the limit-up, highlighting a trend of funds grouping around cyclical sectors.

Regarding specific stocks, many billion-yuan market cap stocks are among the post-holiday limit-up list, including Northern Rare Earth, Changfei Optical Fiber, Shennan Circuit, China Railway, Tungsten High-tech, Baogang Steel, COSCO Shipping, China Geostock, COSCO Shipping Energy. Notably, COSCO Shipping, a port and shipping stock, experienced a consecutive limit-up after the holiday. Its stock closed today at 14.75 yuan, a new high, with a total daily turnover of 3.087 billion yuan, the highest since August 2015.

Financing balance rebounds again, scanning for post-holiday rebalancing

On the first day after the holiday (February 24), the financing balance of the A-share market rose again, with net financing purchases reaching 33.889 billion yuan, a new high since January 12 this year, and the second-highest record of the year. Among 31 Shenwan first-level industry sectors, 26 sectors saw an increase in financing balance after the holiday, accounting for nearly 83.9%. Electronic and computer sectors became key areas for financing inflows, with non-ferrous metals, electrical equipment, communications, defense military industry, and machinery sectors also ranking high in net financing purchases.

However, some sectors experienced net selling by financing investors after the holiday, including utilities, Petrochemical, construction decoration, comprehensive, and coal sectors. Among these, utilities and Petrochemical sectors saw net selling exceeding 1 billion yuan. Currently, electronic, electrical equipment, non-bank financials, computer, and biomedicine sectors remain the top five sectors favored by financing investors, with non-ferrous metals, machinery, communications, automotive, and basic chemicals sectors each having financing balances over 100 billion yuan.

Regarding individual stocks, a total of 19 stocks received over 1 billion yuan in fresh financing on the first day after the holiday. Among them, Zhongji Xuchuang had the largest net buy-in exceeding 1 billion yuan. Stocks like Kingsoft Office, China Geostock, Shen Technology, Runze Technology, Kweichow Moutai, Shannon Chip, Dongshan Precision, TBEA, and Bawei Storage also saw significant net buying. Conversely, stocks such as Light Media, CATL, Yingwei, Northern Rare Earth, Hengli Petrochemical, China Power, PetroChina, and Wuwei Technology experienced net selling in financing.
