According to Yonhap News Agency, South Korea’s e-commerce platform 11Street announced on February 12 that the company has established a strategic partnership with JD.com to support domestic sellers entering the Chinese market.
On the 4th, 11Street signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with JD Global Shopping and JD Logistics at JD’s headquarters in Beijing, covering the aforementioned cooperation. The focus of this partnership is reverse cross-border shopping, meaning selling 11Street merchants’ products to Chinese consumers. Both parties plan to launch the project in the first half of this year. At that time, 11Street merchants will be able to join JD Global and sell products to Chinese consumers.
To facilitate this, 11Street will simplify onboarding procedures and customs clearance processes, and reduce logistics costs, significantly lowering the entry barriers for merchants engaging in reverse cross-border shopping. The entire logistics process, including warehousing, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery, will be handled by JD Logistics. The two sides will also work together to promote the sale of JD Mall’s cross-border products to Korean consumers through 11Street.
