Whale News, February 25 — (Reporter Tang Shiyun) On February 24, the parent company of Arc’teryx, Amer Sports, released its Q4 and full-year 2025 financial report. The report shows that in 2025, total revenue reached $6.566 billion (approximately RMB 45.2 billion), a 27% year-over-year increase; Q4 2025 revenue was $2.101 billion (approximately RMB 144.6 million), up 28% year-over-year.

Among them, Greater China’s Q4 2025 revenue increased by 41.8% year-over-year, and full-year revenue grew by 43.4%.

During the reporting period, the three major business segments—technical apparel, outdoor sports, and ball and racket sports—all achieved significant growth. Notably, the technical apparel segment, where Arc’teryx is based, grew 34% in Q4 2025 to nearly $1 billion.

Before this quarter (i.e., September last year), Arc’teryx partnered with artist Cai Guoqiang to hold a fireworks show in the Himalayan region, which attracted widespread attention and controversy. Subsequently, local authorities announced the investigation results, determining that Arc’teryx, as a sponsor, must bear legal responsibility for ecological environmental damage and ecological restoration. There were also management adjustments within Arc’teryx.

From the financial data, the fireworks event did not significantly impact Arc’teryx’s quarterly performance.

Meanwhile, Amer Sports’ latest earnings call pointed out that the technical apparel segment, where Arc’teryx is located, performed outstandingly in Q4. Although winter sports equipment contributed significantly to revenue, its lower gross margin created a structural drag on overall gross margin. The expansion of gross margin for the full year mainly came from product, regional, and channel optimization, and this trend continued into Q4.

To seek new growth drivers, Arc’teryx is currently transforming from a clothing brand into a full-category outdoor equipment provider. In 2025, Arc’teryx officially established a footwear division and focused on developing its women’s product line. The latest earnings call disclosed that revenue from women’s and footwear categories grew 40% in Q4 2025. In 2026, Arc’teryx will continue expanding its footwear offerings and plans to open 25-30 new stores, primarily in China and North America.

Additionally, Salomon’s outdoor sports segment also saw a 29% increase in Q4, driven by continued growth in Salomon’s footwear and strong performance in winter sports equipment.

With the popularity of running, Salomon is accelerating its expansion, with Greater China being one of its most important markets. In Q4 2025, Salomon opened 33 new stores in Greater China, and nearly 100 new stores were added throughout the year. Over the next year, the brand plans to continue expanding at a moderate pace and aims to open 35 new stores in China.

Amer Sports CEO Zeng Jie stated that Q4 marked a successful conclusion to a breakthrough year for the company. Thanks to flagship brand Arc’teryx and the rapid growth of Salomon, the group achieved strong growth, with Salomon’s annual sales surpassing $2 billion for the first time. In 2025, all business segments, regions, and channels of the group achieved double-digit growth.

He believes that with the continued growth of Arc’teryx, the accelerated development of Salomon’s footwear business, and the further solidification of the equipment segment, there is confidence to achieve new successes in 2026.
