How much monthly income is needed to support a family into a happy life.

Based on current society, a typical three-person family—owning a house and having children—living a normal quality of life:

Food and groceries: 1,000–2,000 RMB (going out to eat once a week, about 200 RMB per meal for the family of three)
Utilities, water, gas, property management, internet: 200–500 RMB (more usage of air conditioning in summer)
Children’s education, formula, entertainment: 500–1,500 RMB
Transportation, fuel, parking: 800–1,000 RMB (commuting 40 km round trip daily)
Social expenses and daily necessities: 500–1,000 RMB
Conservative total: 4,000–6,000 RMB (excluding mortgage and car loan payments)

If a man’s monthly income is 5,000 RMB, he can support his wife and child, but by the end of the year, there’s no savings.

If both husband and wife are working, with combined monthly income around 8,000 RMB: they can get by, but just barely—no room for illness or job changes.

How much monthly income would your city need to support this family?
