First day of opening, a rollercoaster! The Shanghai Composite rose 0.9%, the ChiNext rose 1%, with over 4,000 stocks closing higher and nearly 100 hitting the daily limit. The data looks good for a good start, but for most people, the profit effect is only so-so. The trading volume only expanded to 220 billion, far below expectations.

But Brother Long thinks it’s not a bad thing. Compared to the last trading day before the holiday, yesterday’s market showed a good phenomenon: mysterious funds did not sell off broad-based ETFs significantly, which is rare in a market rally.

The market’s early plunge forced some holders to sell and exit, while the plunge also further suppressed retail investors outside the market from entering. Through a day of volatility, it showed weakness and drained the patience of those still holding stocks.

Many brothers, upon seeing AI stocks fluctuate during trading,
start to doubt whether the main theme is over.
Brother Long’s attitude is very clear:
Until there are signs of distribution in the main theme, the idea remains unchanged.
The volatility on the first day after the holiday is just a short-term rebalancing of funds.
The adjustment of AI is the release of profit-taking.

AI applications, with Minimax Zhipu’s market cap of over 3 trillion, have opened up space. This year is also a year of AI application explosion. Without negative news, the market’s quiet killing can only be understood as increased rotation during volatility, which also amplifies sector fluctuation risks. Quantitative strategies are also contributing to this. Under the rhythm of volatility, more anti-market sentiment is at play—everyone thinks good stocks are easily hammered, while stocks that are less popular or ignored may present buying opportunities. So, in the short term, it might be necessary to think counter to human nature.

The characteristic of a slow bull market is ups and downs.
True upward movement often occurs during consolidation, with chips changing hands.
Brother Long always believes that a real big trend is never achieved overnight.

It requires volatility, divergence, and chip accumulation.
Although I don’t know if it will rise or fall tomorrow, I know the direction hasn’t changed. So I still maintain a position mainly focused on “AI.”
