The peak occurred on February 14, with 70,800 passengers, marking the highest travel volume during the holiday. As work return trips and family visits overlapped, cross-line travel demand continued to rise. To handle the large influx of travelers and improve the travel experience, Hunan Intercity Railway Co., Ltd., in cooperation with China Railway Group, has enhanced facilities, optimized services, and strengthened safety measures, creating a warm and considerate Spring Festival travel experience. This year is the first Spring Festival after the renovation and upgrade of Changsha Station. The station increased the number of entry and exit gates, expanded the high-speed rail transfer channels, upgraded waiting room seats to include charging ports, improved large screens and signage, and paid attention to details to create a comfortable waiting environment, effectively improving passenger flow efficiency. Zhuzhou Station formed the “Rainbow” volunteer service team, setting up service points to offer free ginger soup, provide guidance and consultation, assist with luggage handling, and promote safety awareness, warming travelers with thoughtful services.
The convenient intercity railway network continues to shorten the spatial and temporal distance between Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Xiangtan, providing efficient transportation support for residents of the urban agglomeration to visit relatives and travel during the holidays. Since the beginning of this year, the Chang-Zhu-Tan Intercity Railway has transported a total of 2.774 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 3.57%, maintaining steady growth and demonstrating the strong vitality of transportation integration within the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan metropolitan area.
