A temple in Japan catches fire, resulting in 5 deaths

A temple in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan, caught fire in the early hours of the 20th, resulting in 5 deaths. Around 2:30 a.m. local time on the 20th, local fire authorities received reports of the temple fire. The blaze was extinguished after about three hours, destroying three buildings including the main hall and residential structures. It is reported that five people were living inside the temple. The scene of the fire revealed five bodies. Local police and fire departments are investigating the details of the fire and the identities of the victims. Recently, Yamaguchi Prefecture issued a “Dryness Warning,” and meteorological authorities have reminded the public to be cautious with fire safety. (CCTV News)
