According to news, AMD and Meta announced today that they have reached a 6-gigawatt agreement aimed at supporting multiple generations of AMD Instinct GPUs for Meta’s next-generation AI infrastructure. This agreement expands their existing strategic partnership and coordinates development roadmaps at the chip, system, and software levels to deliver an AI platform tailored for Meta’s workloads. AMD Chairman and CEO Dr. Lisa Su said, “We are proud to expand our strategic cooperation with Meta, as we push the boundaries of AI on an unprecedented scale.” As part of the agreement, to further align strategic interests, AMD has granted Meta performance-based warrants to purchase up to 160 million shares of AMD common stock.
