Due to U.S. tariff risks, the European Union plans to suspend approval of the US-EU trade agreement

The European Union is preparing to suspend the approval process for the trade agreement with the United States and is requesting the Trump administration to provide more details about its new tariff plans. Zeljana Zovko, the chief negotiator for the European People’s Party responsible for US-EU trade agreement negotiations, stated today that the EU “has no choice” but to delay the approval process in order to seek clarity on the current situation.
