On February 4th local time, the trilateral talks between Russia, the U.S., and Ukraine, originally scheduled for last weekend, were held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. This was the second round of talks held in Abu Dhabi by the security working group composed of representatives from the three countries, following the first round held from January 23rd to 24th. After the first day of talks on the 4th, Ukraine described the trilateral talks as “productive,” while Russia said it would continue military actions until Ukraine makes a “decision” sufficient to end the conflict.
