Yesterday, as the “Dream” cruise ship carrying over 2,000 passengers slowly departed from Tianjin International Cruise Home Port, all cruise flights operated during this Spring Festival period were completed. Nearly 9,000 entries and exits were recorded, with over 80% of travelers traveling with family. Celebrating the New Year at sea has become a new trend among the public. According to statistics, over 80% of passengers traveling by cruise from Tianjin during the Spring Festival were family groups, with more than one-third of the travelers being seniors over 60 years old, and over a quarter being minors under 16. This shows that family travelers have a strong preference for cruise travel. In terms of origins, most travelers come from Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Shanxi, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, and other regions, further expanding the scope of cruise tourism. It is understood that since 2026, Tianjin cruise port has inspected a total of 20 inbound and outbound cruise ships, with over 33,000 entries and exits, roughly consistent with previous years. To effectively handle the peak of Spring Festival passenger flow, local border inspection departments analyzed traveler composition in advance, optimized procedures by opening additional inspection channels and special lanes, ensuring safe, smooth, and orderly entry and exit for travelers.
