According to Sing Tao Headlines, an investment company in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, that provides cryptocurrency settlement platforms, has lost about 20 clients' USDT since January this year, involving approximately 2.67 million USDT, equivalent to about 20.87 million HKD. After police investigation, a 34-year-old network engineer surnamed Cai was arrested on suspicion of theft. Reports indicate he accessed the company's database to review related client accounts, suspected of embezzlement. The case is now being followed up by the Yau Tsim District Crime Squad.
