President Trump's Peace Committee is exploring the issuance of a stablecoin for Gaza

According to the Financial Times, the "Peace Committee" promoted by the Trump camp is discussing introducing a dollar-pegged stablecoin for Gaza. The purpose is not to replace the Gaza Coin or become a new Palestinian currency, but to serve as a digital payment and electronic financial tool in situations where the banking system and cash flow are disrupted. At the same time, they hope to reduce Hamas's access to physical cash flow.
Of course, this is still in the early discussion stage. The idea is led by Israeli tech entrepreneur and former reservist Liran Tancman, who is currently working as an unpaid advisor to the Trump Peace Committee, the U.S.-led organization responsible for rebuilding Gaza.
Tancman stated at a Peace Committee meeting held in Washington last week that the NCAG is building a secure digital backbone network, an open platform supporting electronic payments, financial services, e-learning, and healthcare, allowing users to control their data, though no further details were provided.
