#市场情绪 I just saw Infinex cut their ICO pricing from $300 million directly down to $99.99 million, and also reduced their fundraising amount from $15 million to $5 million. I was a bit shocked by this contrast 😅
After carefully reading the founder's explanation, I understood — it turns out that in a bear market, setting a "high" price can directly hit the market's "bad sentiment." It feels like the entire market is now filled with anxiety, and investors have very low tolerance for projects. They responded decisively to feedback, which is a good attitude, showing they are genuinely listening to the community's voice.
But this also taught me a lesson — when evaluating a project's ICO, you can't just look at the white paper and vision; you also need to consider market sentiment. If the overall environment is bad, even a great project with aggressive pricing can easily fail. Also, the one-year lock-up period design was originally meant to filter out short-term traders looking to scalp quick gains — I learned something new!
Can any experienced folks explain whether such significant reductions in FDV are common in the crypto space? Will this affect the token's performance later on? 💭
