I found that you can also buy gold on @Bybit_Web3. The earliest token launched by Bybit Alpha was $XAUt0 , which has good depth and can meet the demand for directly using U to buy gold.
Recently, gold has surged to 4500, and silver is approaching 70. Based on the current trend of a basket of precious metals, it still seems to be in an acceleration phase, and no clear signs of marginal slowdown have been observed.
There has been a rumor circulating in the market:
A single high-end NVIDIA GPU with silver sintering packaging consumes hundreds of grams of silver, and a 64-card server rack can even use tens to hundreds of kilograms of silver.
I checked various engineering and industry sources, and this claim clearly overestimates the amount by an order of magnitude.
The actual data is:
A single advanced package AI GPU (such as H100 / H200): silver usage is roughly 3–15 grams (mainly for packaging interconnects, conductive/thermal materials, solder or alloys).
A fully loaded 64 GPU server rack, with GPU itself totaling about 0.2–1 kg of silver, plus other components like motherboards, power supplies, and networking, the total might reach 1–2 kg, but far from tens or hundreds of kilograms.
