Liquid Cooling Mining Era: Ant S21+ Hyd.395T Water Flow Rate and Cooling Efficiency Test Report
🧊【Unboxing Review】Ant S21+ Hyd. 395T Debuts: The Water-Cooled Beast Born for Hash Power!
Hello everyone! Today, I bring you an eagerly anticipated water-cooled server — the Ant S21+ Hyd. (395T) — with unboxing and real-world testing experience. As another masterpiece by Bitmain in water-cooling technology, the S21+ Hyd. not only continues the stable and efficient design DNA of its predecessor but also makes significant upgrades in energy efficiency and cooling system. Next, let’s uncover its mysteries together!
📦 Unboxing Moments: Steady Industrial Style, Details Show Care
When the delivery guy solemnly handed the large box to me, I knew this server was extraordinary. Opening the package, the first thing that caught my eye was the main unit, tightly protected by foam. The chassis is made of silver-gray metal, with sharp lines, and solid craftsmanship. The overall dimensions are 339 x 173 x 207 mm, and it weighs 12.3 kg, giving a very “steady” feel when carried.
Inside the packaging, there’s also an installation manual, water cooling pipe connectors (DN10), and power cables — complete accessories for worry-free installation.
🔧 Hardware Overview: 395TH/s Roaring Hash Power!
Let’s take a look at its core specifications:
16.0 J/KH (25℃)
From the data sheet, this S21+ Hyd. with 395TH/s is truly a “mining beast.” While the power consumption is high, thanks to water cooling, its overall energy efficiency is very well controlled, reaching top-tier market standards.
💧 Water Cooling System Real Test: Calm as a Maiden, Cold as a Glacier
As a server with pure water cooling design, the S21+ Hyd. has strict requirements for inlet water temperature, water quality, and water pressure:
Recommended inlet water temperature: 20~50℃
Recommended water flow: 8~10L/min
Fluid type: antifreeze / deionized water / pure water
pH value: 8.5~9.5
Initial conductivity: <20 μs/cm (should not exceed 100 μs/cm after running for a period)
In actual testing, I used a closed-loop cooling system, set water temperature to 35℃, with stable outlet water temperature. The chassis showed no obvious heat sensation, fan noise was very low, and it ran so quietly that it hardly felt like a server.
Compared to the roaring cold air of air-cooled equipment, it’s more like a silent workaholic, quietly delivering enormous hash power.
🧪 Real Operation Experience: Stable! Cold! Fast!
After connecting power and cooling water, it entered stable operation in less than a minute. Monitoring via mining pool backend shows the hashrate remained steady between 393~398TH/s with minimal fluctuation.
The power meter displayed approximately 6305W for the entire machine, very close to the official specifications. Network connection was smooth, with no disconnections or link issues.
💡 Special Surprise: The device exhibits almost no noticeable vibration, nor traditional server “battle noise.” It operates in a mining farm cooling cluster almost silently.
✅ Usage Tips and Precautions:
Power supply must be three-phase 380~415V input; do not use incorrect voltage!
It’s recommended to use with industrial-grade dry coolers to ensure water temperature stays within a reasonable range;
Regularly check the cooling liquid’s conductivity and pH to prevent damage to the motherboard;
Environmental temperature should be controlled according to water outlet temperature for stable operation;
📢 Summary: The Cold-Blooded Warrior in the Mining Farm!
The Ant S21+ Hyd. is undoubtedly a leader among high-hash water-cooled servers. Its impressive 395TH/s computing power, high energy efficiency at 12 J/TH, and near-silent operation make it an ideal choice for medium and large mining farms.
If you’re looking for a stable, quiet, and powerful server, it’s definitely worth considering.
